General

4 identical 5" diameter commemorative plates, Baker Institute, with one wood stand. Plates are white with silver gilt rim, blue, gray and silver symbols and black text. Text around the perimeter states: "James A. Baker III Institutue for Public Policy, Rice University, Building Dedication, Inaugural Celebration, & Annual Conference, October 15 and 16, 1997." In the center are four round symbols consisting of a blue border with silver filigree, each containing a shield emblem, one with the Rice University academic shield, one with the seal of the United States, one with the seal of Texas, and one with an unknown seal. These symbols surround text "In Honor of His Exellency Mihkail Gorbachev, The Honorable James A. Baker, III, The Honorable Warren Christopher, The Honorable Henry Kissinger, The Honorable Cyrus Vance." There is no information regarding original owner or donor.
