No. 796, The Conquest of Air, Chapter II Airships, slide 13: La Liberte;, ca. 1910
Scope and Contents
Glass lantern slides are in box 66 and 67, both of which are stored in a larger box and held onsite at the Woodson due to their delicate nature. The boxes contain glass slides measuring 3.25 inches square. Some of the slides are from the "Primus Junior Lecture Series: The Conquest of the Air." The series is in three chapters: balloons, airships, and aeroplanes.
The rest of the slides are photograph-like quality with depictions of early aircraft including gliders and airplanes from circa 1908 to the 1930s.
