Overview The Alex J. Dessler Academic Papers chroncile primarily the Rice University career of the Professor Emeritus of Space Physics & Astronomy. The bulk of his papers are in the correspondence and publications series. Meeting notes and proposals are detailed, and the visuals show images and drawings used for various presentations and talks. His personal materials follow his career outside of Rice and also include some of his honors.

Abstract: This collection contains articles and book reviews submitted to the publication “Transactions of the American Geophysical Union.” Also included are office records, correspondence, SPR news, cover and meeting reports related to this publication of the AGU.

Overview This collection contains Dr. F. Curtis Michel’s space science materials including correspondence, academic talks, notes, papers, plots, proposals, and information regarding numerous conferences and symposia from all over the world.

Abstract: The Keith McGee papers consist of correspondence, publications, and miscellaneous material collected while working on the “Skylab Student Project” at the Johnson Space Center in 1973. The collection includes photos, typed correspondence, printed material, and films.

Overview The collection consists of slides used by Dr. Dufour, including published series by NASA, various observatories, and commercial publishers, along with Dufour's slides.

Overview This collection contains 242 astronomical photographic glass plates collected by Rice University's Dr. Reggie Dufour. The majority were taken at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in the Coquimbo Region of northern Chile. A small number of the plates were taken at the Kitt Peak National Observatory near Tucson Arizona.
