The Benjamin M. Anderson Aeronautical History collection consists of a wide assortment of materials related to the history of aeronautics, including photos, artistic renderings, postcards, schematics and diagrams, publications and papers from aircraft manufacturers, clippings, calendars, scrapbooks, and 8mm movies and audio recordings.

Newsclippings, reports and symposia, pop culture ephemera, book catalogs, and correspondence documenting public interest in ufology in the 1990s and 2000s. Brenda Denzler is the author of a book entitled "Lure of the Edge: Scientific Passions, Religious Beliefs, and the Pursuit of UFOs," published in 2001 by University of California Press.

The Discover Houston Tours Records contain information about tours Lord gave around Houston, supplemental material for tour content (including newspaper clippings, brochures, and notes), general information about leading tours, and business documents of her tour company.

The collection consists of correspondence, invitations, personal papers, photographs, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia of the Holloways’ lives from 1929-1992, and a memorial of the Holloways written in 2009.

The papers include investigative reports, correspondence, and ship and crew information in relation to the grounding of the S.S. Schroon while helping the S.S. West Hematite. The S.S. Schroon was an American sea-going vessel invovled in cargo transport.

Logbook of the British warship H.M.S. Princess Royal kept by Charles LeStrange, R.N. [Royal Navy] of a voyage (1864-1866) from Plymouth to Shanghai and Yokohama, by way of Madeira, Sierra Leone, Cape of Good Hope, Trincomalie, Singapore, and Bangkok.

Business and personal records of J. Russell Wait, Director of the Port of Houston from 1930-1947, offering a comprehensive history of the Port of Houston's construction, facilities, finances, clients and operations from 1931-1962. During this time, the Port of Houston grew from the nation's twelfth largest port to its third largest. Materials also relate to the Brazos River Harbor Navigation District, Houston Ship Channel maps, and scrapbooks on WWII and Japan.

This is a 280-page Seaman's Journal dating from the early 19th century, inscribed with 169 pages of handwritten notes regarding weather conditions, location, course, and events on board the ships Janus, Dawn and Glide on three separate voyages, each originating from or arriving at Massachusetts.

Approximately 130 pages. The first 80 pages are in Portuguese and cover voyages from Fayal in the Azores to Riga and back to Lisbon, with an additional trip from Fayal to St. Petersburg. The remainder is in English and covers a voyage from Boston to Fayal.
