[Rice University] Bioengineering Department Image Collection
The collection consists of a variety of visual images--slides, CDs, and photographic prints--of people, events, and activities of the Rice University Bioengineering Department from its establishment in 1997 to 2008, when the ten-year anniversary was celebrated.

The collection spans almost 20 years and consists of materials associated with the Commission's work including task force reports that summarize the state of women's affairs at Rice (benefits, salary, promotion, child care, campus climate and visibility), surveys, memoranda, campus controversies, internal correspondence, and a collection of scholarly articles concerned with women's issues in academia.

This collection consists of materials related to the construction of the Rice University campus from the initial engagement of the master plan architects in 1909 to the present time. Included are expense records, diagrams, photographs, newsclippings, and a small amount of correspondence.
Rice University Development Office Event Records
The collection consists of planning records; photographs, plaques, film, paper and digital; video DVDs, VHS cssettes, one zip disk, two floppy disks, and two micro-cassettes. The various media contain images of participants in events like Rice Associates dinners, ground breakings for new buildings, and dedication ceremonies. The VHS cassettes include several commencement ceremonies not in other collections.

The records reflect the daily business of the Rice University Fund Council. The collection spans more than thirty years and consists of materials associated with the Council's annual meetings, committees, special events, fund raising activities, groundbreakings, dedications, and copies of correspondence from the President's office.
