Samuel Storrow U.S. Civil War Journals
Two journals kept by Samuel Storrow during the U.S. Civil War, the first while Storrow served as a corporal in the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia, 44th Regiment (September 20, 1862-June 18, 1863), and the second while serving in the Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, 2nd Regiment (September 1864- March 1865), during which time he was promoted to first lieutenant; in his entries Storrow describes movements of equipment and troops, camp life, weather, and military actions.

With its American Mizrachi Women Chapter Directory, Column by Rabbi Segal praising Alex Schwartz, and the Torah awarded Sol Schwartz, the collection showcases multiple family members and their contributions to the Houston Jewish community.

Townsend-Burford family of Texas papers
Photographs, correspondence, genealogical charts and notes, newsclippings and printed materials related to the Townsend and Burford families of Texas dating back to pre-Republic of Texas era. The town now known as Round Top, TX, on Cummins Creek, was previously known as Townsend, TX. Many of the Townsend family members participated in the Battle of San Jacinto. Both the Townsends and the Burfords have been very active in civic life.
W. H. Brooker U.S. Civil War diary
The diary of W.H. Brooker is a small (3 1/2" × 2"× 1/4") leatherbound booklet in which annotations in pencil have been made. Most of the entries date from 6 October 1863 to 22 June 1864.
