Pottery: canteen shaped vessel, approx. 8"x8", with swastika design inlaid on both sides and a copper swatiska pin fastened onto opening of the vessel with string. Notes also attached refer to Dudley as the owner of the vessel and its relation to one his poems, "The Quiet Mocking-bird"

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection consists of approximately 235 poems, and correspondence relating to the poetry of Frank Elijah Dudley, of Beaumont, California. Mr. Dudley sent copies of his writings to various institutions and politicians, and would travel giving recitations in order to fund the publication of his works. Also included in the collection are apparently American Indian artifacts including arrowheads, "swastika" gourd, animal sculptures and a small amount of California gold dust.
