Biographical Sketch

Teas Nursery, once located at 4400 Bellaire Boulevard, Bellaire, Texas, traces its history to 1843 when John C. Teas began the business in Indiana, moving it later to Missouri. In 1910, Edward Teas, Sr., brought the family business to Houston where it flourished and remained until its closure in 2009 when the property was purchased by the Rubenstein Foundation to create a city park in Bellaire.
