This material was a part of Dr. John E. Mack's systematic research project at Harvard University through the 1990s to 2004. There is also some related material from the late 1980s when Dr. Mack first encountered ideas of alien abduction and related experiences. Formats include reports, correspondence, email, interview recordings, photographs, videorecordings, and more. John E. Mack Archives LLC (JEMA) has divided John Mack’s materials between Rice University’s Fondren Library Woodson Research Center and Harvard Medical School’s Countway Library.

Dr. John E. Mack, professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Pulitzer Prize-winning author lived October 4, 1929 – Sep 27, 2004. He spent his career examining how a sense of connection develops across cultures and between individuals, and how these connections alter people’s worldviews.
