11. Jewish community

The Wagman family photos offer a glimpse into the growth of a Jewish family that immigrated from Romania in the early 1900s and made a place for themselves in America. Interconnected with several other Jewish families in the Houston area, the Wagman family photographs fill out the genealogical web that intertwines much of the Houston Jewish community.

The collection consists of one box of event materials, a booklet about the history of Beaumont Texas, and four photographs.

The collection contains certificates, invitations, programs, news clippings, immigration paperwork, and photographs, which document the lives and activities of the Ehrenkranz / Wertheimer family from 1910 to 1990.
