Overview This collection is made up of one box containing correspondence, photographs, news clippings, newsletters, event materials, and military documents/materials from Ruth Hutton Fred and her family, spanning from 1928-2013.

Abstract: This collection consists of architectural drawings done by Ruth Y. McGonigle during her private practice in Brownsville, TX. She designed mostly residential houses with the exception of a few public buildings.

Abstract: This collection consists of 193 letters written to a Long Island attorney, Samuel H. Gardiner, Esq. of Sag Harbor and New York City. The letters give a good picture of the activities of a counselor at law of that period. The majority of the letters concern legal matters; however, some relate to politics, touching on the election campaigns of 1844 and 1848.

Overview This collection contains two short handwritten poems by Samuel Minturn Peck titled “Foreboding” and “At the End.”

Abstract: Two journals kept by Samuel Storrow during the U.S. Civil War, the first while Storrow served as a corporal in the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia, 44th Regiment (September 20, 1862-June 18, 1863), and the second while serving in the Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, 2nd Regiment (September 1864- March 1865), during which time he was promoted to first lieutenant; in his entries Storrow describes movements of equipment and troops, camp life, weather, and military actions.
