Overview Records of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society, a group of Faculty members and their wives who staged a number of productions in the 1950s and 1960s.

Overview These administrative files of the Rice University History Department reflect the daily business of the department, including meeting minutes, memos, correspondence, program and committee files, faculty files, Rorschach Lecture files and CHLI project files. This material begins with the 1960s and goes through the 1980s, when the department was significantly expanded.

Overview The collection includes individual files for Rice related persons (faculty, students, alumni, staff, significant visitors), events, programs, traditions, campus artworks, organizations, buildings, and subjects. The formats include newsclippings, notes, correspondence, photographs, and other materials. The contents are donated by Rice community members and/or gathered by the Woodson Research Staff, and represent one of the most heavily used portions of the University Archives.

Overview The collection consists of records of intramural athletic activities at Rice University from when they were first organized in 1939 through 1995. Included are documents showing the sports offered, yearly numbers of participants, of annual winners in competitions, photographs of some of the teams, and newsclippings, primarily from the campus newspaper, the Thresher.

Abstract This collection highlights the founding of the Jones School and its daily business from 1974-2013. Records contain information relating to the school's history, bylaws, directories, correspondence, press releases, awards. It also contains items regarding fundraising, projects, lectures and seminars, and various corporate and individual contributors to the school. The collection also features documents from various Rice University professors and administrators with ties to the Jones School.

Overview Rice University News and Media Relations has also been known in the past as News and Publications. This office creates and manages news releases on behalf of the university. The photo and biographical files in this collection were created and manitained by that office for use in such news releases.
