Overview The papers of biochemist and cell biologist Frederick (Fred) Rudolph (1944-2003) document his 31 years on the faculty of Rice University and his tenure as director of Rice's Institute of Biosciences and Bioengineering. Overview The collection consists of planning records; photographs, plaques, film, paper and digital; video DVDs, VHS cssettes, one zip disk, two floppy disks, and two micro-cassettes. The various media contain images of participants in events like Rice Associates dinners, ground breakings for new buildings, and dedication ceremonies. The VHS cassettes include several commencement ceremonies not in other collections.

Abstract This collection contains audio and video recordings of Rice University Faculty Senate meetings from 2005 and 2006, as well as meeting minutes from 2007-2016.

Overview The collection consists of biographical sketches, invitations, news clippings, press releases and video clips relating to Nobel Laureates Robert Woodrow Wilson, Richard E. Smalley and Robert F. Curl.

Overview The Rice University Office of News and Media Relations keeps the media and the institution’s community informed about the latest campus developments. They research, develop and share press releases and record special events on video or audio. That charge led to this collection that consists mostly of VHS tapes which contain news broadcasts and raw footage covering Rice University events or featuring speakers representing Rice University on many topics.

Overview The collection consists of audio cassette recordings and transcripts of interviews with three former presidents of Rice University, Kenneth Pitzer, Norman Hackerman, and George Rupp, made in 1993 and 1994, and videotaped interviews of the same individuals, made in 1995. Also included are an audiotaped interview of a Rice alumna, made in 1990, with transcript, and videotaped interviews of a Rice student and two Rice faculty members, made in 1995.
