Rice University Student Association records
The Student Association Records consist of a variety of material related to the Rice University Student Association. These records include meeting minutes, correspondence, memos, constitution and bylaws, financial documents, floor plans, reports, employee contracts, proposals, and student publications. The material begins in 1918 and continues through 2013, with the bulk of the information starting in the early 1960s.
Rice University Student memories records
Written memoirs and typed transcripts of interviews relating student experiences at Rice Institute, later Rice University, representing many of the classes between the years 1916 and 1976. Half of these materials are in the form of 50th reunion booklets arranged by class year, and half of them are individual student's memories arranged by the student's last name.
Rice University Student Organizations records
This collection consists of the membership and activity records of thirteen Rice Institute student organizations. The earliest date from 1938, and the latest are from 1962.
Rice University Studies editorial review board records
The collection consists of correspondence which concerns primarily the names of faculty members appointed annually by the President to serve on the Rice University Studies Review Board, which in the 1960s had been called the Rice University Studies Committee. In 1982 the Rice University Studies Review Board was renamed the Rice University Press Committee. Names of members of this committee for 1982-83, 1983-84, and 1985-86 are also included.

Rice University Thresher student newspaper editor (Brady Tyson) papers
The collection consists of 1948 and 1949 correspondence with Brady Tyson, editor of the Rice Thresher; his editorials favoring admission of qualified African Americans to Rice Institute; and newspaper reports on the Tyson material and public response to it. The content ends with President Huston’s letter to the editor of the Thresher, pointing out that Rice was chartered for white students only.
Rice University Treasurer's Office records regarding Town Lot Sales Records and Rice Hotel and Houston Endowment
The collection consists of sales/payment records, tax records, maps, deeds, and correspondence concerning the town lots received by the Rice Institute from the Rice Estate and others purchased in later years. Also included are deeds, construction contracts, inventories, tax records, and correspondence concerning the Rice Hotel and 99-year lease with the Houston Endowment.
