Born digital research materials related to courses taught by Tani Barlow and her own research. This collection is composed of correspondence, memos, minutes, reports, commencement procedures, notices and emails that document the activities of Rice University standing committees between 1946 and 2000.

The Carey Croneis Personal Papers chronicle Dr. Croneis' professional career as a geologist, educator, and administrator in various academic settings including Rice University, in museums, and in civic and personal interests. The collection totals 18 Hollinger boxes and includes correspondence, speeches, photos, plans, clippings, and printed matter.

The Provost is the chief academic officer of the University. The mission of the Provost’s Office is to promote and support excellence in all dimensions of the University's academic, research, scholarly and creative programs and activities. These records reflect the daily business of the Office of the Provost during the tenure of David Auston. Types of records include Alphabetical files, Department files, Off-Campus files and Budget files.

In 1999 and 2000, Fondren Library underwent renovation and expansion. This collection is a partial record of the project's architectural drawings, proposals, and documentary interviews.

This collection contains correspondence, research, reports, and publications, administrative materials, course notes and handouts, and personal items of Alan Chapman, the Harry S. Cameron Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Rice University.

The collection contains course materials, publications authored or co-authored by Dr. Hellums, and documents related to the academic and departmental activities of the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory and Chemical Engineering at Rice University.
