Bioengineering

Overview This collection is composed of papers and media relating to the DeLange Conferences held at Rice University. It includes correspondence, marketing materials, conference materials, reports, photographs, and electronic media that document the preparation leading up to the conferences and the activities during conferences.

Scope and Contents These papers contain course materials, publications authored or co-authored by Dr. Hellums, and documents related to the academic and departmental activities of the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory and Chemical Engineering at Rice University.

Overview The collection consists of materials from Dr. John W. Clark, Jr., professor in both the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Bioengineering at Rice University. The collection also includes records of Dr. Clark’s participation in the work of several university committees, specifically Parking, Graduate Student, Admissions, and the Library. In addition there is material prepared for evaluation of courses to determine ABET accreditation in 2005.

Overview This collection is made up of assorted materials associated with the Institute of Biosciences and Bioengineering such as detailed information about the building occupied by the IBB, George R. Brown Hall: the planning, fund raising, donors, and apportioning of space. The collection also includes a twenty-year summary report for the Department of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, ending June 30, 1992. Overview The collection consists of a variety of visual images--slides, CDs, and photographic prints--of people, events, and activities of the Rice University Bioengineering Department from its establishment in 1997 to 2008, when the ten-year anniversary was celebrated.
