Overview Arithmetic instruction book written in French from the first half of the seventeenth century. It consists of 284 pages written in calligraphy and ornamented with colored drawings. It was probably written for the instruction of a Prince of Orange.

Also included are "A Walking Tour of Rice University" glass plate negatives (c. 1912-1950) given to Morehead by William Ward Watkin for use in Morehead’s construction class. The collection also contains many photographs and slides of buildings and unique architecture at Rice University.
