Rice University Student memories records
Written memoirs and typed transcripts of interviews relating student experiences at Rice Institute, later Rice University, representing many of the classes between the years 1916 and 1976. Half of these materials are in the form of 50th reunion booklets arranged by class year, and half of them are individual student's memories arranged by the student's last name.

"Studies in English Literature 1500-1900" is a quarterly journal of historical and critical studies that is based at Rice University. The record group contains correspondence between authors/reviewers and the editors; some original typescripts and galley proofs; correspondence on rejected articles.
William Ward Watkin family papers
Correspondence, photographs, family trees, vital records and other genealogical material related to the Watkin family of Houston, TX (1910s-current) and of Danville, Pennsylvania (late 19th century). William Ward Watkin (1886-1952) was the first Supervising Architect of Rice Institute and the first chair of the Dept. of Architecture at Rice Institute. His daughter, Ray Watkin Strange, is a Rice graduate and significant supporter of Rice University and the Fondren Library.

This collection consists of framed paintings, framed and unframed drawings, prints, sculptures, and other artworks donated to the Woodson Research Center/Rice University archives.
