One box containing photographs (originals and photocopies), correspondence, a 65th Anniversary booklet for Sylvia and Morris Schultz, and a confirmation certificate for Sylvia Levy (Schultz) documents part of the lives of Sylvia and Morris Schultz from 1944 to 2018.

This collection forms part of the South Texas Jewish Archives.

Permission to publish material from the Sylvia and Morris Schultz papers must be obtained from the Woodson Research Center, Fondren Library. The Woodson Research Center use policy is that researchers assume sole responsibility for any infringement of privacy, literary rights, copyrights, or other rights arising from their use of the archival materials. In addition to any restrictions placed by donors, certain kinds of archival materials are restricted for the life of the creator plus 50 years. Biographical / Historical

Morris Schultz was born in Houston, Texas, on June 10, 1924. He was the second son and sixth child born to Harry and Mary Saperstein Schultz. He attended Jefferson Davis High School and served as a charter member of the Jewish youth group, Cyrus Adler AZA. In 1953, he met Sylvia Levy, and they were married December 13, 1953. Morris and Sylvia were proud members of Beth Yeshurun Synagogue. Though Morris passed away in 2019, he is survived by his wife, his children, and great grandchildren.
