Biographical / Historical

The Kinder Institute for Urban Resarch was created in 2010 with a $15 million gift from Houston philanthropists Richard and Nancy Kinder. It is a multidiscplinary think-and-do tank at Rice University that focuses on"urban issues in Houston, the American Sun Belt and around the world."

Dr. Stephen Klineberg is Founding Director of the Kinder Institution from 2010 to present. William Fulton has been the directory since fall 2014.
