Conditions Governing Use

Permission to publish material from the Houston Hillel Scrapbooks must be obtained from the Woodson Research Center, Fondren Library.

The Woodson Research Center use policy is that researchers assume sole responsibility for any infringement of privacy, literary rights, copyrights, or other rights arising from their use of the archival materials. In addition to any restrictions placed by donors, certain kinds of archival materials are restricted for the life of the creator plus 50 years. These materials include, but are not limited to, student grades, transcripts, and any job applications or recommendations.

Biographical / Historical

Houston Hillel is a multi-campus Hillel Foundation which welcomes Jewish students and young professionals all over the greater Houston area. As the only inclusive and pluralistic Jewish campus organization, Houston Hillel welcomes LGBTQI students, those from interfaith backgrounds, and everyone's Jew-adjacent friends. Houston Hillel, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, is a partner agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. Their mission is to enrich "the lives of Jewish undergraduate students, graduate students and young professionals so that they may enrich the Houston Jewish community, the Jewish people and the world."
