 Collection
Identifier: MS 0122
Finding aid note: Stored on-site at the Woodson Research Center.

Scope and Contents

This is a handwritten letter dated July 30, 1828 and signed by C.A. Somerset. The letter is addressed to an un-named publisher, in which Somerset refers to a short manuscript sent with the letter and requests addresses for "respectable publishers in the Whig interest." The letter is one sheet of paper measuring 16 cm by 20 cm. The paper is in excellent shape except for two corners, which are torn off probably as a result of the wax used to seal the letter. The torn corners do not affect the handwriting, which is very clear.
