Abstract: The collection contains six boxes of organizational records related to the founding and ongoing activities of the Archivists of the Houston Area, commonly known as AHA! The current website for the group is www.houstonarchivists.org.

Overview This collection includes materials used by Ariel Bar-Sela in his work involving the translation of ancient medical texts such as correspondence, facsimiles of texts in Hebrew, Arabic, and Latin, medical vocabulary index cards in these languages, and publications of translated versions of medical texts from the Middle Ages.

Overview Arthur E. Hall (1901-1978), one time Chairman of Rice University's Shepherd School of Music (1953-1973), is known as a composer of orchestral, choral and chamber ensemble music. His papers include correspondence, original compositions, arrangements, settings, and harmonizations by Hall, as well as audio recordings of his performances and materials from the Charles Ives family.

Abstract: The Arthur Jones Architectural Records contain information and pictures of projects Jones was involved with in his career with Houston-based Lloyd and Morgan, Lloyd, Jones, and Brewer, and Jones and Fillpot.

Overview This collection contains copies of autograph scores, lecture notes, articles, and programs from composer Arthur Gottschalk's academic and professional files. The materials in the collection date from 1964 through 2019.

Overview This collection contains thirteen letters written by the Duke of Wellington to Miss A.M. (Anna Maria) Jenkins, a 19th century evangelist. Two other letters are from Ms. Sophy Mistes to Miss A.M. Jenkins. Accompanying some of the letters are envelopes with wax seals; also included in the collection are a miniature photo of the Duke and a paper Mariner's Compass.
