Abstract: The collection consists of 3 folders of correspondence dating from 1803-1810, between British Admiral Sir John Thomas Duckworth as Naval Commander-in-Chief at Jamaica and Vice-Admiral Charles Stirling (1760-1833), Resident Commissioner at Jamaica relating to repairs to ships, stores, defenses and surveys.

Overview This collection contains a letter from Annie Gregory to Lady Margaret Spicer, daughter of the 12th Earl of Westmoreland. In the note, Annie requests that Lady Spicer let her know if her husband Captain John Edward Philip Spicer would “let” her (Annie) a cottage called Chittoe Heath. Annie Gregory belonged to a Methodist (Wesleyan) family in Wiltshire.

Overview This collection contains thirteen letters written by the Duke of Wellington to Miss A.M. (Anna Maria) Jenkins, a 19th century evangelist. Two other letters are from Ms. Sophy Mistes to Miss A.M. Jenkins. Accompanying some of the letters are envelopes with wax seals; also included in the collection are a miniature photo of the Duke and a paper Mariner's Compass.

Overview This collection contains a Benham family tree, general historical survey, and original and facsimile correspondence between Benham family members. Included in the correspondence are some original envelopes with British stamps and wax seals. Items have been tipped-in to a bound volume.

Abstract: This is a handwritten letter dated July 30, 1828 and signed by C.A. Somerset. The letter is addressed to an un-named publisher, in which Somerset refers to a short manuscript sent with the letter and requests addresses for "respectable publishers in the Whig interest."

Overview Most of this collection, which dates from 1840 to 1878, is comprised of correspondence from British politician and statesman Benjamin Disraeli to Rev. Clubbe, who occupied the position of vicar at the living of Hughenden near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, from approximately 1851 to 1868.

Abstract: The journal primarily recounts the army career of David Latimer Tinling-Widdrington’s son, George Widdrington, from 1796 until his death in 1813 at the Battle of Vittoria, the decisive battle of the Peninsular War. The journal contains numerous descriptions of battles, many taken from copies of letters sent by George to his family. Abstract: The collection consists of autographed correspondence between Edward Bolland Osborn (1867-1938) and James Nicol Dunn (1856-1919) between the years 1892 and 1909. The bound letters reveal a wide range of topics and interests that the two men shared from reviewing books and writing articles to professional achievements. The volume contains some biographical information about the two correspondents as well as a prepared index of topics and individuals mentioned in the letters.
