Scope and Contents note

From the Series: Subject files arranged in alphabetical order, containing newsclippings, notes, reports, and minimal correspondence, describing the business history of Brown & Root. Subjects include roadbuilding, dams, labor issues, and various specific firm projects such as the Bull Shoals Dam and Marshall Ford Dam. Dates range from 1920-1996, bulk 1940s-1960s.

Much of the original Brown & Root records were destroyed by George R. Brown during an office move circa 17 years before his death.
