Scope and Contents
"A one-hour documentary on the Ku Klux Klan in the Houston area in the early 1980s. The film was released in 1981, but shot for a year. The final cut is one hour long, out of 24 hours of raw footage.
Most of the film follows Louis Beam, Jr., Texas Grand Dragon, Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, as he narrates his life, his experiences during the war in Vietnam and as he outlines his main political beliefs. The film also contains footage from the paramilitary training camps for young adults which Beam supervised, as well as cross-burnings.
