Experimental short uses Ray Charles' "What'd I Say" as accompaniment to constantly shifting collage of female nude, cartoons, and newsreels of atomic bomb explosions.





This reel was in bad shape, but was restored by Danny Stuyck as restoration project for class in film preservation at at UT Austin. This restoration made possible the current existence of the film which was pulled out of circulation after the Ray Charles estate sued Bruce Conner for copyright infringement. Before working on the restoration of this film, Danny Stuyck was a projectionist at Rice Cinema and also did some programming.





IMDB has release date 1962, our archival label says 1961.
