Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

Background files include relevant topics, general cases, social trends, cults, related phenomena, scientific topics relevant to ufology, assembled by Vallee in support of his research over the years. Also contains field notes and press documents about related topics such as cattle mutilations, and face-to-face meetings of NIDS and BAASS, as well as various research proposals.

Correspondence includes letters exchanged with Aime Michel, Dr. Hynek, Dr. Guerin, and many leading researchers and investigators, starting in the late 1950s to the mid 2010s.

Analysis files are planned for donation in the future, and will include research studies, often field investigations or document research about specific UFO topics.

General

The box labelled B11 contains 191 audio tape recordings of radio interviews in French and English, some dating from the 1960s. Early contactees are represented as well as leading researchers such as Dr. J. Allen Hynek and journalists like Jean-Claude Bourret. All tapes are labelled. Private conversations, interviews and hypnosis sessions related to the abduction phenomenon are included, as well as some recordings of significant telephone calls. Conferences by ufologists (Steven Greer, Al Bielek, Lorenzen, Jim Harder) are also present. Some of this material has never been broadcast and is not in the public domain, so caution must be exercised in quoting.
