Includes all personal and professional correspondence except letters of recommendation written by Vandiver for former students (these have been placed with TEACHING materials) and correspondence related to PUBLICATIONS. Any fan mail or critical correspondence of Vandiver's works have been left in the CORRESPONDENCE section. The correspondence is arranged chronologically and covers 1947-1970.
