Scope and Contents

Contains brochures; correspondence; invitations; mailing lists; memos; newspaper clippings; and press releases.

Prominent subjects include the Modem House Tour, begun in the 1950s; the 1963 and 1968 Benefit Auctions; the dedication of the new CAM building in 1972; and the Last Dance at the Rice Hotel in 1975. Other subjects include the annual garage sale; benefit dances; education programs; films; lectures; and musical and dance performances.

Several files (1967 Paper Doll Ball; 1968 Benefit Auction; 1975 The last Dance at the Rice Hotel) were water damaged. Some items were photocopied due to this damage.

Photos were removed and placed in the Archives Photo Collection.

This material is open for research, with the exception of Board of Trustees / Admin records, legal actions and formal lawsuits, and financial and capital campaigns, from the last 20 years. These records require permission from CAMH.
