Scope and Contents Note
Lecturer Emeritus on Electrical and Computer Engineering. Hardy Bourland came to Rice in 1961 from General Dynamics, where he was a senior aero systems engineer. A registered professional engineer, Bourland has served the university in several capacities--as executive director of the Rice Engineering Design and Development Institute, as assistant to the dean for student development and as associate director of the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory.
