Scope and Contents
The papers of Rice University's fifth president, George Rupp, reflect the daily business of the the president's office during the years 1985-1993, and include correspondence, memos, notes, drafts, memos related to on and off campus departments and groups. Subjects include the establishment of the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, the new music building (Shepherd School of Music), new building for biosciences and bioengineering, revision of the core curriculum, fundrasing, and more.
