This logbook contains entries of the daily routine and observations made by midshipman John H. Gibbons during the 1882 cruise of the U.S.S. Jamestown from San Francisco, California to Newport, Rhode Island as well as detailed descriptions of the ship and its decks. Also contains a photo of the U.S.S. Jamestown.
