Series IV: Carolyn Strom interviews on the college system
Scope and Contents
This collection is made up of audio cassette tapes, subject indexes for each tape and interview agreement forms for four interviewers’ work during the 1989-90 school year. It also includes a copy of the published work, The History of Student Life at Rice University: A Series of Papers, which resulted from these interviews.
The interviews are grouped by interviewer, as each focused on a particular topic; Colin Delaney on the history of Wiess College, Margaret Jelinek on the history of student theater, Carolyn Strom on the formation of the college system, and their supervisor, Michael Raphael, on the history of Will Rice College. Jelinek and Strom’s interviews are accompanied by subject indexes and interview agreement forms for each interviewee. Delaney’s work includes subject indexes for each interview and an interview agreement form for one interviewee, while Raphael’s interviews have no accompanying paper documentation.
