From the Collection:
Oral history interviews and research materials dating from 1975-1978 related to Fredericka Meiners’ book, A History of Rice University: The Institute Years, 1907-1963, which was commissioned by the Rice Historical Commission.
This collection includes original audiotapes, transcripts of selected interviews, related correspondence, documents, typescripts, and notes, and a digitized version of the audiotapes (created 2003 by the generosity of the Rice Historical Society). A small amount of office files for the Rice Historical Commission reflect the early activities and goals of the Commission during the dates 1975-1978.
