Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The material in this collection is divided into two series. Series I includes the general files collected by the committee, such as agendas, minutes, advertising, letters to and from candidates, itineraries, and other types of correspondence and files related to committee work.

Series II includes the candidate’s files listed alphabetically and includes letters, resumes, etc. The original folders were marked with colored dots to indicate the following: Blue – Tier One – CV’s received prior to January 1, 1995; Red – Tier Two – CV’s received from January 1, 1995 to present; Green – Finalists (see General Correspondence File). This information was added to the archival folders by writing the color(s) of the dots on the front of the folders. Some of the folders had no colored dots and were designated as none of the archival folder. There was no date indicated as to when the dots were applied. See the Meeting Minutes folder (1.15) for committee’s actions in selecting finalists.
