Letters, meeting minutes, notes and news articles relating to the administration of Rice University, 1969-1993.

The Pallas Athene Literary Society (PALS) was formed in 1919 when the Elizabeth Baldwin Literary Society (EBLS) split and was an active organization at Rice until 1966 when it disbanded. The records consist of a ledger book containing minutes of the society’s meetings (September 23, 1924 – May 14, 1929), newspaper clippings pertaining to various members and alumnae, and several programs and pamphlets of the society’s activities.

The collection consists of both published and unpublished records of projects undertaken by the Rice Center for Community Design + Research, subsequently the Rice Center. It also includes records of two projects of the University of Louisville which served as precursors to much of the early research completed at the Rice Center.

The collection consists of planning materials in preparation for the 1990-91 celebration of the centennial of the charter establishing Rice Institute. The collection includes the committee’s charge from President George Rupp, records of committee and subcommittee membership, notes, memos, meeting minutes, recommendations, reports, and correspondence.

Records and reports of the committees and people who took part in the revision of Rice University's Honor Code over the years.

These records contain files related to acquisitions for the Rice University Art Collection. The files contain images, correspondence, and appraisals as well as donor and accession details.

These materials include correspondence, minutes, notes, and other materials related to the searches for an Associate Provost during the years 1986, 1995, and 1996. Also included are the materials submitted by the applicants for each search. This material is restricted.

These records consist of the meeting notes of and information about the inner workings of the Centennial Commission.

This record group includes the minutes, memoranda, correspondence and reports generated by the Rice University Committee on Examinations and Standing.

The records consist of association by-laws, meeting minutes, correspondence, and awards. Included are lists of annual selections of Outstanding Engineering Student and Outstanding Engineering Alumni.
